How EIM works

 How EIM works?

EIM is a powerful platform that measures the environmental impact of one garment in an efficient and economically viable way.

1. Know your impact

The EIM Score is calculated from a detailed process description or recipe applied to a yarn, fabric, or garment, quantifying impact across four categories: water, energy, chemicals and workers’ health.

Guided step-by-step by the EIM Modules, each production stage is assessed using scientifically grounded methods.

Results are classified as low, medium, high, giving brands and manufacturers a clear understanding of their environmental performance and a clear picture of where they stand and what to improve.

Sustainability becomes measurable, comparable and verifiable.

2. See where to act

Every measurement is an opportunity to improve

EIM translates impact results into clear performance indicators using an intuitive traffic-light system, allowing you to immediately identify where action is needed.
By combining an overall impact score with detailed results for each category, EIM helps you understand trade-offs between different production choices. A decision that reduces impact in one stage or category may increase it in another. EIM makes these interactions visible.

3. From insight to action

EIM turns insights into concrete improvements.

Tailored Action Plans and implementation support help reduce production impact and deliver measurable progress.

4. Impact at scale

EIM helps organizations improve at product level and replicate those improvements across the entire supply chain.

By providing a shared and simple language, EIM encourages collaboration and continuous improvement across the industry. The more organizations that adopt the system, the greater the collective impact.
